The back of your iPhone, often called the back glass, rear housing, back case, or back glass assembly, consists of a precision-cut, hardened glass panel designed to blend seamlessly with the phone’s sleek metal frame. This glass is further reinforced internally by a laser-welded steel and copper structure, providing durability and improved structural integrity. The glass itself is fused securely to the metal chassis through microscopic seals, enhancing the device’s resistance to dust and water ingress.
Starting with the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus, Apple introduced removable back glass, simplifying replacement procedures. This design was further adopted in the iPhone 15 series and newer, making repairs easier and more cost-effective. However, earlier models, including the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, as well as preceding generations, feature non-removable back glass. In these unsupported models, damage to the back glass typically necessitates replacing the entire rear housing assembly.
Important Considerations for Back Glass Replacement:
When the back glass alone is replaced in unsupported models, the repair process involves manually removing shattered glass fragments, applying adhesive, and fitting a new glass panel to the existing metal frame. However, this manual process is significantly less precise compared to Apple’s original factory installation, which involves specialized machinery and exact alignment.

If you visit our store in Dubai, it will take about 2 to 3 hours to replace the complete rear housing with a new one depending on parts availability. Please call the store you will be visiting to check for stock availability before arriving.
We use genuine rear housing in our repairs, the same part that came with your iPhone when it was new. The replacement back we provide as part of the repair may contain a new or previously used genuine Apple rear housing that has been tested to ensure it meets functional requirements. This allows us to deliver the same high-quality service the repair industry can offer.
The pricing in this chart only applies to rear housing replacement. This repair does not carry any warranty; the rear housing does not have any moving parts, nor does it have any electronic components. We will do a pre-quality test before and after the repair. If you have any other problem with your iPhone, you’ll pay additional costs. We offer up to a 50% discount on the second part and up to a 75% discount on the third part used for the same iPhone.

No, iPhones are not waterproof, but they are water-resistant to varying degrees depending on the model. Even though we do install a new display adhesive during the rear housing replacement, water resistance is not guaranteed.

The reason it needs a back glass is that there isn’t a piece of metal affecting the electricity going through and charging the phone.

Ceramic shield promises up to 4x better drop resistance than previous iPhones, general scratch resistance, and clear optical performance for your iPhone rear cameras. The key technology in the protective glass is ceramic crystals. These small ceramic nanocrystals are embedded in the glass matrix using a high-temperature crystallization manufacturing process. The interlocking structure of crystals helps to deflect cracks and chips.
