Know more about iPad Speaker Replacement:

The speakers of your iPad are responsible for alerting you during incoming facetime or video calls, playing sounds when you watch a video or listen to some music, and helping with a hands-free phone or video calls.

Apple introduced stereo speakers starting with iPad 5. It boasts 2x the volume of the iPad 4 as well as an improved audio range. The speakers are behind safety wire mesh, protecting them from dust and debris entering the speaker. But the mesh is prone to collect dust and debris over time resulting in inferior sound quality.

Are you facing a low audio volume during video calls or while playing music?

Cleaning the speaker mesh with a dry medium bristles toothbrush should improve the impaired audio quality. However, please DO NOT use any liquid or cleaning agent to clean the mesh as it may damage the speaker or any components located next to it.

If the problem persists, we can clean the speaker externally free of charge to see if it fixes the problem. Unfortunately, your iPad speaker will have to be replaced if there is no audio or the sound is crackling in one or both speakers.

Is there no sound coming out from your iPad speaker?

There is a slight possibility that what seems to be a speaker problem can be related to the motherboard. We will inform you if it is the case before proceeding with the repair.

FAQ's

Here are some of the customers’ most common questions about the iPad speaker.

Yes, the iPad speaker can be replaced. You can visit a professional mobile phone shop, Apple Store, or Apple Authorized Service Provider to get your iPad speaker replaced.

The speaker is located on the top of your iPad behind the protective wired mesh opening and at the bottom.

If you cannot hear your iPad ringing or the volume is low, the speaker mesh is likely obstructed by dust and debris. This problem can be resolved by cleaning the speaker at the top and bottom of your device with a medium-bristled toothbrush without any cleaning agent or liquid. If this does not rectify the problem, you must replace the speaker.

A soft-bristled toothbrush is the best way to clean the dirt and debris from the mesh. Gently brush the wire mesh to sweep away any blockages. Remember not to use any liquid or pointy or metallic substance to clean the mesh, as you might damage the speaker.
